How long does it take to register my company?
The process generally take between 6 to 10 Working days depending on the backlog the Registra’s company may have.
What is the difference between a Private Limited Company (Pvt) LTD and a Private Business Corporation (PBC)?

A Pvt Ltd company have a minimum of 2 directors and a maximum of 50 directors. However, a PBC can have 1 director and have a maximum of 20 directors. A PBC is comprised of members whilst in a PVT Ltd company shareholders are owners and can be different from directors.

Whilst it is the most popular business incorporation in Zimbabwe, it has many advantages which include:

  1. Members have limited liability
  2. Transfer of ownership is easy
  3. Can employ an unlimited number of people
  4. Is not limited in terms of how much revenue it can make
  5. Makes it easy to separate between directors and shareholders.
Can I start trading just after registering the company?
After registering the company you need to open a bank account, but before you do that you need to register with Zimra first and get a Bank Advice Note that you will then take to you preferred bank for account opening.
I am registered with ZIMRA, what do I need to do to get my yearly tax clearance certificate?
You need to make sure that you submit your self-assessment returns each time they fall due. The returns are due on various dates depending on the tax head that you are registered for - VAT, PAYE or INCOME TAX. We can help you file the returns so that you concentrate on what you do best.
Can I do my own filing of returns?
Definitely, you can. We however recommend that you find a professional who do the tax returns for you as dealing with ZIMRA directly may sometimes lead you into making costly errors on return or exposing yourself.
Can I operate without registering with ZIMRA
